Reuters reports that Al-Hadi, who escaped to Riyadh when Houthis took over the presidential buildings, arrived at the Port of Adan on Tuesday September 22.

A spokesman for the Yemeni government announced that President al-Hadi will spend the Eid al-Adha in Yemen and then fly to New York to speak at the annual meeting of the UN Security Council.

Khaled Baha, Yemen’s prime minister, had already returned to his country from exile. Airstrikes by a Saudi-led coalition have freed the Port of Adan from Houthi control.
Saudi Arabia has stepped up airstrikes to run Houthis completely out of Sanaa, Yemen’s capital.
