Ninety-five people imprisoned by the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) forces in northern Syria have managed to escape their captors. Among them were 30 Kurdish fighters.
Syria Human Rights Watch, an independent group based in London that follows developments in Syria, confirmed the news on Tuesday March 10, adding that the escapees broke out of a prison in the city of Al-Bab in the province of Aleppo.
The report says the escapees are Syrian civilians, Islamic paramilitary members fighting against ISIS and Kurdish fighters.
A branch of ISIS that is also close to Al-Qaida has control of Al-Bab and it has even established a court and prison in the city.
The report indicates that ISIS forces are now searching the city for the prisoners.
