Mehdi Khazali, an Iranian physician and political activist, has reported that the Isfahan prosecutor is launching a new file against him for alleged disturbance of the peace and insulting officials.
IRNA reports that Khazali says this is the thirteenth judicial case against him, adding that the latest file has been sent to the court without any official notification or investigations.
Khazali adds that it is now more than a year since he was last in Isfahan.
In a previous case, Mehdi Khazali was sentenced to six years in jail in the preliminary court on charges of “propaganda activities against the regime” and “assembly and collusion against national security.”
Khazali was arrested in November 2011 at a gathering of writers and was released last June.
