Iranian Parliament announced that the British parliamentary delegation led by former British foreign minister Jack Straw will arrive in Tehran on Tuesday January 7.
IRNA reports that according to the announcement, the British delegation will be in Tehran for three days and will meet with a number of political and economic officials as well as senior Islamic Republic figures.
The report indicates that the delegation will have a set itinerary and will stick to it.
Iran and Britain had cut off diplomatic relations after an attack on the British embassy in Tehran. The parliamentary visit follows the re-establishment of diplomatic relations at the level of non-resident charge d’affaires between the two countries.
