Three members of a Revolutionary Guards engineering unit have been killed in Saravan, Sistan-Baluchistan.
ISNA reports that Ramazan Sharif, the Revolutionary Guards Public Relations officer, announced that the three were caught in a bomb trap and there was no military confrontation.
Sharif was quoted as saying: “Smugglers leave bomb traps in their paths to secure their escape from passages they figure might be monitored.”
On October 14, border officers were killed in an attack in the same region. The militant group Jeysh-ol-Adl took responsibility for the deaths of the border officers.
