Iran’s national basketball team has maintained its winning streak at the 27th Asian men’s basketball competition in the Philippines, chalking up a sixth victory by beating Kazakhstan on August 7.
At the 2013 championship, which has been underway since August 1, the Iranian team has so far beaten Malaysia, South Korea, China, India and Bahrain, and in their last game they beat Kazakhstan 85 to 53.
The Iranian team will face Jordan next, as it moves to the quarterfinals at the top of its group.
Fifteen teams are competing in the FIBA Asia Championship, which wraps up on August 11.
