Asal Badiyi
Iranian actress Asal Badiyi died of heart failure today at Tehran’s Loghman Hospital at the age of 36.
According to Iranian media, Badiyi was being treated in the hospital’s intensive care unit since yesterday for “severe medical drug poisoning”.
Mohammad Ahmadi, an Iranian film producer, reported that Badiyi’s body is being harvested for donor organs and her funeral may be postponed until April 4, after the New Year holidays.
Badiyi was born in Tehran in 1978 and entered the world of cinema in 1996 with Boodan ya Naboodan. She was nominated in the best supporting actress category for Dasthay-e Aloudeh at the Fajr Film Festival of 2000.
