Iranian minister of intelligence, Heydar Moslehi told Iranian media that his intelligence forces have penetrated into Mossad’s organization in Iran and dealt them a “heavy blow”.
Moslehi maintained that the Ministry of Intelligence has identified various Mossad networks that have been trained in Israel and one of them was responsible for the assassination of Iranian scientist, Massoud Ali-Mohammadi.
Moslehi added that a number of individuals involved in these networks have been arrested and others are still being “exploited.”
According to the intelligence minister, since Israel is against “scientific progress in Islamic countries and the region”, all scientists are in danger of assassination and Iran will share its findings with the countries of the region.
He maintained that so far ten people have been arrested but refrained from identifying them.
Last night Iranian state television aired the alleged confessions of an individual identified himself as Majid Jamalifash and the chief perpetrator of Massoud Ali-Mohammadi’s assassination. He explained that he was trained in Israel to specifically carry out this operation.
Massoud Ali-Mohammadi was assassinated in a bomb explosion near his home in December 2009.
Last November two other bomb explosions in Tehran targeted two other Iranian scientists. Majid Shahriyari was killed in the terrorist attack but Fereydoon Abbasi, the other University professor survived the attempt.
Iranian authorities attribute all these attacks to US and Israel covert operations.
