Wife of Soheil Arabi Iranian arrested for his views expressed on his Facebook page announced that she has called for a review of a death sentence issued for her husband.
Nastaran Naimi wife of Arabi told Radio Zamaneh that they have made a request for the review and it is not yet clear if it will be accepted.
The Revolutionary Guards arrested Soheil Arabi last year for political views expressed on his Facebook page.
He was sentenced to death for “insulting sanctities, saints and the Holy Quran.”
Naimi says she is certain that the sentence issued for her husband is not fair or in accordance with Sharia Law adding she hopes the judiciary will review his sentence and reach the same decision.
