Three Iranian security officials were wounded in an attack in the southern regions of Sistan Baluchistan province, Security Commander Hossein Rahimi reported.
IRNA reports that the attack by “miscreants” took place on Tuesday October 14, and security forces are now on alert in the region to deal with any further incidents.
Rahimi added that the three people who had attacked the officials were also injured in the incident and are currently in custody in a hospital.
Last week, four security officials were killed in Saravan, and the Sunni militant group Jeysh-ol-Adl later claimed responsibility for that attack.
