Iranian President Hassan Rohani travelled to Kazakhstan for an official meeting with Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev.
Kazakh media report that Nazarbayev has said: “Crises in Iraq, Syria, Israel and Palestine cannot be resolved without assistance from Iran.” The Kazakh president has also reportedly expressed hope that the negotiations between Iran and the 5+1 will come to a successful end, adding that it would lead to growing cooperation between the two countries.
The two presidents reportedly discussed greater trade and economic relations. President Rohani has reportedly said that they will make every effort to have a fivefold increase in trade between the two countries.
President Rohani is also scheduled to visit Tajikistan before taking part in the meeting of leaders of countries belonging to the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
