Seifzadeh has been suffering from heart complications throughout his imprisonment and been transferred to hospital prior to this, Saham News reports.

The report indicates that Seifzadeh’s request was filed one month ago and the approval was delayed by the authorities.

Seifzadeh is a member o the Centre for Human Rights Defenders, an NGO providing legal services in human rights cases. The centre was shut down in Iran by order of the authorities following the 2009 election protests and the widespread crackdown on dissidents.
