Iran Meteorological Organization announced that nine provinces have so far registered average temperatures three degrees higher than normal in June.


The report adds that the month of June was one average one degree higher all across the country.

Fifteen provinces have reportedly experienced low to severe drought while 16 provinces have had severe droughts this year.

Western and Eastern Azerbaijan, Ardebil, Kurdistan, Kermanshah, Ilam, Lorestan Khuzestan, Kohgilouyeh and Boyerahmad, ChahrMahal Bakhtiyari, Isfahan and Khorasan have had summer temperatures two degrees higher than their normal average.
