Mohsen Mirdamadi, the secretary general of the Islamic Iran Participation Front, and Mahnaz Mohammadi, a documentary maker and activist, have been given temporary leaves from prison. ILNA reports that Mirdamadi was released on Monday July 28.

Mirdamadi was arrested in 2008 and given six years in jail for “assembly and collusion against national security” and “propaganda activities against the regime.”

Mahnaz Mohammadi, who was released on Tuesday July 29, was sentenced to five years in jail for similar charges and began serving her sentence last June.
