The International Atomic Energy Agency has called for a million-euro increase to its budget for supervising Iran’s nuclear activities. The IAEA maintains that the four-month extension of the deadline for drafting the final agreement between Iran and the 5+1 means the agency will need more money to continue monitoring Iran’s nuclear program.

The IAEA has been keeping close watch on Iran’s nuclear program, and its reports have indicated that Iran has complied with all the provisions laid out in the interim agreement reached between the parties last November in Geneva.

The IAEA maintains that continuing the constant monitoring of Iran’s nuclear activities and providing the necessary reports will require a larger budget.
