According to the Central Bank of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the average cost of household goods and services has increased by more than 46.5% from last Nowruz (March 2022) to this one, an inflation that soars high above the sinking minimum wage. In reality, the figure is estimated to be closer to 63%, however, for the first time ever, Iran’s Central bank refuses to provide a point-to-point inflation rate. This Nowruz, Iranians were faced with the crippling reality of the dollar’s record low of 580,000.
