Zahra Rahnavard and MirHosein Mousavi met with Rahnavard’s aging mother, Ehtermolsadat Navab Safavi, on Sunday March 16 under the supervision of Iranian security officers.
The Kaleme website reports: “this family meeting had unexpectedly coincided with a meeting of a group of teachers and families of political prisoners.”
According to Kaleme, the security officers at first tried to restrict the meeting, but the visitors finally managed to meet with Rahnavard and Mousavi.
The daughters of the two opposition leaders were not present at this meeting.
Mousavi and Rahnavard have been under house arrest since February of 2011.
