An ancient petroglyph of a winged human has been discovered in the Timreh region of Khomein, IRNA reports.
IRNA quotes Iranian petroglyph expert Mohammad Nasserifard saying the winged human does not appear to be a symbol of a flying human.
He adds: “These are not sacred drawings or depictions of the desire to fly because otherwise they would continue on but this does not happen.”
He added that similar images of the winged human or a giant man with antennas have been also found in Khomein which have sometimes been considered as meetings between humans and extra-terrestrial creatures.
The report adds that as many as 21,000 petroglyphs have been discovered in the Timreh region that date back up to 40 thousand years.
