Leader’s advisor calls for end to criticism of nuclear negotiators
Ali Akbar Velayati

Ali Akbar Velayati Iranian Supreme Leader’s advisor on international affairs said today that since Ayatollah Khamenei has agreed to extension of nuclear talks, there should no longer be any domestic opposition to the negotiators.

IRNA reports that on Sunday November 30 Velayati responded to criticism of the nuclear negotiations between Iran and the 5+1 said: “The Leader of the Revolution said we are supporting the negotiations and their extension, and the negotiating team is moving in the framework defined by him and he approves of the negotiations and negotiators.”

He stressed that the leader's approval means all opposition expressed against the nuclear negotiators must end now.

The nuclear negotiating team has faced severe criticism by right wing factions in Iran throughout their past year of negotiations warning that the negotiators may be conceding too much to the 5+1.

They have also been critical of the direct talks with US officials.

However, Ayatollah Khamenei has announced last week that he is in complete support of the negotiators certain that they have relentlessly worked in the interests of the country.
