After seven days of intense talks behind closed doors, Iran and the 5+1 have agreed to extend the deadline for achieving a final nuclear agreement to July 1, 2015.
AFP reports that the extension was announced while the talks were still in progress, and they continued for another hour and a half. Nothing more has been reported regarding the content of the negotiations.
The parties had reached an interim agreement last November and set a deadline of July 2014 to reach a final and comprehensive deal.
As negotiations continued, the deadline was extended to November 24 and following the sixth round of talks which started last Tuesday in Vienna, they have now extended the deadline to July 2015.
The contentious issues have been reported as the level of uranium enrichment in Iran and the timeline of lifting the international against the country.
