Iranian President Hassan Rohani president will make his first trip to Turkey on Monday June 9.
AFP reports that Turkish officials said Hassan Rohani will meet with the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in Ankara.
A large delegation consisting of Rohani cabinet members will accompany President Rohani on this trip.
In January 2014, Erdoğan visited Iran and called for expanded relations between the two countries.
Iran and Turkey have tried to expand those relations since the Rohani administration took power in Iran, and the foreign ministers of the two countries have met on several occasions.
The report adds that Iran’s gas exports to Turkey will be a chief topic of discussion on this trip.
