Maryam Ghorbani has become the first female prefect in Bushehr province. The Khaleej Fars website reports that following the appointment of the new governor of Bushehr, Maryam Ghorbani was appointed as prefect.
Ghorbani, a native of Bushehr, is a graduate of urban development and has been part of provincial government planning.
Hassan Rohani’s government has now appointed four women to city governorship in Hamoon, Qasreqand, Bandar Torkman and Qeshm.
They are Ezzat Kamalzadeh Abbasi in Qeshm, Massoumeh Parandvar in Hamoon, Homeira Rigi in Qasreqand and Marjan Nazghelichi in Bandar Torkman.
