Fifty-two people were arrested by police and Basij forces in Fardis, a city in Alborz Province, while attending a party.
The head of the Fardis Police Department told the Jam-e Jam News Agency that his office’s emergency services were contacted a few nights ago by neighbours complaining about the disturbing loud noise from one of the apartments. The neighbours’ complaints had been reportedly dismissed by the partygoers.
The police and Basij forces then arrived at the apartment, arrested 18 women and 34 men and transferred them to the police station.
The investigation has revealed that one of the detainees was the owner. The report adds that the guests are not friends or acquaintances of the owner and had been invited by various forms of invitations.
The report adds that the investigation continues.
