Brother of Ward 350 prisoner released on bail
Yashar & Kaveh Darolshafa

Kaveh Darolshafa, the brother of Yashar Darolshafa, a political prisoner in Ward 350 of Evin Prison, has been released on bail two weeks after his arrest.

Kaleme reports that Kaveh Darolshafa was arrested after he mentioned the recent events in Ward 350 on his Facebook page.

Yashar Darolashafa was injured when more than 100 soldier guards attacked Ward 350 of Evin Prison. Thirty prisoners were injured and many were moved to solitary confinement following severe beatings from the guards.

The attack came after the prisoners protested against what they described as a long and aggressive inspection procedure.
On the evening of Monday March 5, the authorities arrived at Kaveh Darolshafa’s home and arrested him.

His brother, Yashar Darolshafa, is serving a jail sentence of five and a half years for “assembly and collusion to act against national security and insulting the president.”
