On his trip to Ilam Province, Iranian President Hassan Rohani announced that residents there can look forward to 44 development projects that have been approved in the province.
The Mehr News Agency reports that three dam projects were announced to expand the region’s agricultural development.
The development of Ilam industry and the establishment of trade centres in the border regions of the province were among other developments announced by the president.
The president called for the cooperation of regional and foreign investors in the region and spoke of the government’s willingness to lift up proposed projects in the province.
Rohani also announced that plans for petrochemical developments in Dehloran are in the works.
Rohani’s trip to Ilam comes after his trip to Sistan-Baluchistan Province, another have-not province that received promises of development and investment.
