The National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company announced that starting Friday April 24, every litre of gasoline quota will sell for 7,000 rials and no quota litres will be sold at 10,000 rials.
The administration had announced that following the completion of registration for monthly government benefits provided to low-income households to cushion the blow of rising prices triggered by the restructuring of subsidies on fuel and food staples, the new price for fuel would be revealed.
The report also indicates that monthly quotas for cars will remain the same.
Many people have been lining up at gas stations in anticipation of a rise in gasoline prices and have used various forms of containers to store as much gasoline as possible.
