Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif arrived in Moscow on Monday April 21 to participate in the meeting of foreign ministers of countries bordering the Caspian Sea.
ISNA reports that Zarif has travelled to Russia as the head of the Iranian delegation and will make a speech at the meeting of foreign ministers on Tuesday and will also meet with his Russian counterpart, Sergey Lavrov, on the sidelines of the event. They will reportedly have a joint press conference.
The Moscow gathering will discuss preparations for the upcoming meeting of the Heads of Caspian Bordering Countries.
The fourth session of the Heads of Caspian Bordering Countries, which includes Iran, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Russia and Kazakhstan, will take place this September in Astrakhan, Russia.
