
Ezzat Golparipour, the brother of executed political prisoner Habibollah Golparipour, has been arrested by Sanandaj Security Forces along with two of their family acquaintances.
The International Campaign for Human Rights in Iran reports that according to an unidentified human rights activist, officers from the Ministry of Intelligence arrested Golparipour on Wednesday April 15 as he returned home from work.
The report adds that they later went to the home of Golparipour’s father and, while subjecting the family to verbal abuse, proceeded to search the home and confiscate material such as books, notes, a computer and personal belongings.
Two of the family’s acquaintances. Shaho Heydari and Miad Ahmadi. were also arrested in the city, and later their homes were subjected to similar treatment.
The families are told that their sons are currently under arrest at the Ministry of Intelligence.
Habibollah Golparipour, an Iranian-Kurdish political prisoner, was executed in Oroumiyeh Prison last November for the charge of membership in PJAK, the Free Life Party of Kurdistan.
