Another earthquake shook Varzaghan in Eastern Azerbaijan Province on Sunday at 3:21 PM local time.
The earthquake, which measured 4.1 on the Richter scale, reportedly occurred at a depth of six kilometres, 21 kilometres from Varzaghan, 23 kilometres from Ahar and 29 kilometres from Heris.
The head of Eastern Azerbaijan Emergency Response announced that rescue workers have been dispatched to the area and there is still no confirmed report about damages.
Varzaghan was the site of another earthquake in August of 2011. It measured 6.1 on the Richter scale and affected 410 villages in the region, killing hundreds of local residents.
