A spokesperson for the Pakistani foreign ministry has condemned the abduction and killing of an Iranian border official.
IRNA reports that Tasnim Aslam said Pakistan denounces terrorist activities anywhere in the world and expressed regret over the death of the Iranian border officer.
She said Pakistan expressed solidarity with the families of the four other abducted border officials and will do everything to identify and apprehend the perpetrators.
She added that Pakistan is prepared to give Iranian authorities complete cooperation in this matter.
Five Iranian border officials were kidnapped by the Sunni Militant group Jeysh-ol-Adl, and last Sunday one of the abducted officials was killed by the group.
Iran claims the group is holding the hostages in Pakistani territory.
