The appeals court has approved the prison sentences handed to Khosro and Massoud Kordpour, two Iranian journalists and human rights activists.
Kordpa reports that Khosro Kordpour was sentenced to five years in Tabriz prison for the charge of “collaboration in protest gatherings” and one year in jail and two years of exile in Kerman for “propaganda against the regime.”
Massoud Kordpour was sentenced to three years in prison for “assembly and collusion against the regime” and six months in jail for “propaganda activities against the regime.”
The report indicates that the sentences issued by the preliminary court have been approved in their entirety.
One of the defence lawyers reports that they have not received official notification of the appeal results, adding that their repeated efforts to get the two brothers a furlough have been consistently denied
