The Kuhbanan Prosecutor General in Kerman has announced that arrest warrants have been issued for three managers of the Kuhbanan Cheshmeh Podneh Coal Mine for negligence.
An explosion in the mine last week led to the death of three miners and left another 10 workers injured.
The Kuhbanan Prosecutor announced that arrest warrants have been issued for the executive officer, the mine supervisor and the mine workshop supervisor for failure to meet safety standards.
The mine had been reportedly closed down earlier for failing to meet regulatory safety standards but later reopened after the mine was issued a clean bill by city inspectors.
