Two Iranian forest rangers were swarmed by a group of poachers in Golestan Province and were taken to hospital.
The Sabz Press website reported on Friday February 21 that the two rangers were attacked by a group of eight poachers who refused to follow the rangers’ instructions.
Mohammad Tamakani and Mehdi Mojnipour were attacked with knives and axes and suffered injuries to the face, arms and internal organs.
The rangers are now in a Gorgan hospital and listed in stable condition.
