A Tabriz MP has denounced the aggressive confrontation of workers from the Tabrizkaf Tile factory, calling on officials to meet the workers’ demand.
ILNA reports that Esmail Saeedi told Parliament that the 221 workers at the Tabrizkaf Tile factory have not been paid their back wages.
On February 6, a group of the factory workers gathered to protest in front of the Tabriz governor’s office and they were met with force and violence by government security forces.
The head of Tabrizkaf Tile factory labour council reports that each workers is owed anywhere between 150 and 200 million rials.
