Three workers from the Isfahan Poly Acrylic Factory were released on bail on Saturday evening after being detained for more than two weeks.
ILNA reports that Ahmad Saberi, Abbas Haghighi and Javad Lotfi were summoned by the police security forces on January 22 in connection with labour protests at the plant. No court date has yet been set for them.
These three workers were arrested along with five others, who made their first appearance at court this morning in Mobarakeh court.
The CEO of Isfahan Poly Acrylic Factory appeared in court as the plaintiff, and the second session will take place on Thursday February 13.
Javad Lotfi has reportedly written to President Hassan Rohani, urging him to address the Isfahan workers’ demands.
The workers are challenging the restructuring of the factory, which they call a direct threat to their job security.
