Four patients died in Tonkabon in Mazandaran Province after heavy snowfall kept them from reaching a hospital in time.
Shargh Newspaper reports that three dialysis patients and one patient suffering from brain injury died due to delays in getting to the hospital from villages surrounding Tonkabon.
A Tonkabon physician reported that the surrounding roads remain blocked and further casualties could follow if conditions do not improve.
