The Iranian president has warned of a sharp rise in the price of gasoline in a meeting between cabinet and Parliament.
According to the Fars News Agency, MP Sakineh Omrani reported that the president has announced that the government is going to make every effort to control the rise in the price of energy to limit the effects on the manufacturing sector.
Omrani said however that the price of gasoline will see a sharp rise according to the president.
The news report indicates that the president’s report in Parliament highlighted issues concerning the fiscal budget, the payment of monthly benefits, environmental and international affairs, and relations with the U.S.
