The Dezfool Friday Mass Imam has announced that female musicians should not perform at public concerts.
IRNA reports that at a meeting of the Public Cultural Council in Dezfool, Hojjatoleslam MohammadAli Ghazi Dezfooli announced that religious leaders in the city are concerned about music concerts being held in Dezfool.
“Having classical music concerts in Dezfool is fine, but women cannot be amongst the musicians,” Ghazi Dezfooli said.
The music group Sepid-o-Siah is scheduled to perfume in Dezfool on February 6 and 7.
Last March, Ehsan Khajehamiri’s concert was canceled following objections from religious figures in the city.
