Two hundred steelworkers from the Zagros Steel Company gathered in protest on Wednesday January 29 to once again demand their unpaid wages.
The workers demonstrated in front of the Qaraveh Governor’s Office, demanding five months worth of back pay and insurance premium payments, ILNA reports.
The report indicates that workers’ representatives are meeting with the governor to discuss the workers’ demands.
The governor’s office has also called on management at the Zagros Steel Factory to join the meeting in order to reach a settlement.
