Despite earlier reports by Iranian media that Iran and the 5+1 will meet in New York next month, Iranian foreign ministry announced today that the time and place of the meeting has not been finalized.
IRNA, ISNA and Fars News Agency all Monday January 27 that talks between Iran and the 5+1 will take place in New York in late February.
The reports added that this round of talks will be attended by Iranian foreign minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and Catherine Ashton, EU foreign policy chief and is directed toward reaching a final and more permanent deal.
ISNA reported that the Arak heavy water reactor will be one of the main topics of discussion in these talks.
According to the deal reached in November 2013, Iran has agreed to suspend all construction at the Arak facility for six months.
