Workers at the Haft Tapeh Sugarcane Complex ended their protest after their employer paid a portion of their unpaid wages.
ILNA reports that labour activist Reza Rakhshan said the workers were paid some of their delayed wages yesterday.
The report adds that a member of the Islamic Labour Council of the Haft Tapeh Sugarcane Complex had appeared among the protesting workers, giving assurances that their remaining demands would also be met in the coming weeks. Therefore, the workers returned to work.
Their protests began on December 20 with a sit-in on the factory premises.
