Nayereh Priouzbakht
The spokesman for the Rohani government announced that Nayereh Pirouzbakht has been appointed to the head of the National Standards Organization.
IRNA reports that Mohammad Baqer Nobakht cited Pirouzbakht’s expertise in the field, making her the top choice for “the vital post at the helm of the National Standards Organization.”
Prior to this, Pirouzbakht was the organization’s chief of inspections of import and export goods.
The Rohani government has been criticized for failing to incorporate more women into the administration.
