Iranian MP Ali Motahari, who previously complained about his office being bugged, announced on Saturday December 14 that two senior managers in the Intelligence Ministry have been dismissed over the incident.
Motahari reported on his website that the Minister of Intelligence dismissed the two individuals, and he linked the incident to the ministry’s former leadership.
Motahari reported that the two directors have been dismissed and sentencing is pending on their files.
Motahari earlier had accused the Intelligence Ministry of failing to address the illegal bugging of his office.
The Rohani administration, which took power last August, was elected on a promise to drop the security-laden approach of the former government.
