Iran’s non-resident charges d’affaires Mohammad Hassan Habibollahzadeh arrived in London on December 12.
IRNA reports that Habibollahzadeh will meet with British officials to work on the step-by-step restoration of bilateral relations between the two countries.
He will also visit Iran’s diplomatic locations in London to arrange consular services for Iranians living in Britain.
The Iranian charge d’affaires will meet with his British counterpart Ajay Sharma.
This is the first trip to Britain for Iran’s non-resident charge d’affaires, and his British counterpart visited Iran for the first time on November 11.
The two countries are rebuilding diplomatic relations after an attack on the British Embassy in Tehran triggered a complete severing of relations.
