The Research and Education Commission of Iranian Parliament has announced that four million university graduates are currently unemployed across the country.
Ghassem Ahmadi told IRNA that 4.5 million students are currently enrolled in university programs across the country, and without a targeted and well planned program, within the next three to four years this number will be added to the number of unemployed graduates.
Ahmadi emphasized that the government has been negligent in recent years in terms of adopting effective policies to engage the graduates. He called on the new government to address the issue of unemployment among new graduates.
