Samad Khatibi, an Iranian filmmaker and artist based in the Netherlands, has been arrested in Tehran.
Nedaye Sabz Azadi’s website reports that Khatibi was arrested at Imam Khomeini Airport 10 days ago.
His family has been told to refrain from informing the media about his arrest.
Today, Wednesday December 4, officials searched where he had been staying and confiscated some his belongings.
Khatibi was a student of industrial design at Azad University and is a graduate of Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands.
The report indicates that Khatibi was active in the Hassan Rohani campaign in the recent Iranian election.
