Evin Prison
Tehran City Council announced that Evin Prison is in the works for demolition.
The Nasim Website reports that the judiciary and Tehran City Council have held preliminary talks about transferring ownership of Evin Prison to the city.
The city plans to transform the space into a large promenade, and the judiciary has taken responsibility for building a prison to take over from Evin.
The city announced that the transformation of the prison into a promenade is in the city’s five-year program.
