Abbas Araghchi, the Iranian deputy foreign minister, met with the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency, Yukiya Amano, on Monday October 28 in Vienna.
Araghchi and Amano met today before technical and expert talks got underway between Iran and the IAEA.
Araghchi spoke of “new approaches” in the nuclear talks with a view to ending a two-year impasse.
The Iranian deputy foreign minister reported “a very useful and constructive meeting” with the IAEA chief.
The new round of nuclear talks in Geneva between Iran and the 5+1 is scheduled for next week.
