The head of the Bushehr Worker’s House told ILNA that 120 workers at Deep Offshore Technology Company, a subsidiary of Sadra Marine Industrial Company, have been laid off.
Mousavi MirJavanmardi gave “unfavourable economic conditions” as the reason for the layoffs.
The report indicates that the company has 700 specialized workers, and contracts were not renewed last month for 120 of them.
In recent years, companies have become interested in hiring on a contract basis, which has led to a serious decline in job security for workers.
