Three Iranian political prisoners have been given a furlough from Ward 350 of Evin Prison.
The Kaleme website reports that Morteza Khosravirad was released on Tuesday October 22 and another two were released the following day.
Mohmoud Bagheri, a physics teacher in Tehran, is serving a nine-year prison sentence.
Assadollah Asadi, a physician in Tabriz, was arrested in July of 2010 and held in solitary for five months at the intelligence ministry’s detention centre.
Asadi was transferred to Evin after two and a half years and was finally sentenced to 10 and a half years in jail, but the appeal court reduced his sentence to five years.
The new Iranian administration has promised to establish a more political open atmosphere.
